Utkarsh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Outcomes and Administrative Sciences at SUNY Binghamton. He completed his doctoral studies in Statistics at the University of Guelph in 2014. He received his master’s in Mathematics from the University of Guelph in 2011.
Utkarsh’s research focus is on health outcomes and computational statistics. His interests are in precision medicine, mixture model-based clustering, and statistical phylogenetics. His work in health outcomes is on biomarkers and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. His work in clustering involves developing novel mixture models with applications in model-based clustering and classification while his work in phylogenetics involves developing novel algorithms with applications in bioinformatics. His other research interests include cluster-weighted models, survival analysis, and competing risk models. Currently, his research is supported by Foundation to Eradicate Duchenne. Utkarsh can be contacted by email.
